Feast Table, 2023. Installation, performance and video. (Video Still).
Feast Table, is a multimedia installation featured in Guevara's solo exhibition "Counting Leaves" at Tashkeel Alserkal Gallery. This piece pays homage to the bountiful generosity of the natural world and also honors Emirati hospitality by creating a welcoming atmosphere.
The installation comprises an interactive performance and video production that took place during the exhibition's opening reception on February 26, 2023. Guests were invited to sample the food on display for over three hours, and the act was documented and broadcasted live.
The video and the subsequently empty table with decaying fruits and flowers remained on display as part of the exhibition.
