“Ghaf & Migration: Observing the Unknown" is a multimedia installation that incorporates a large multi-panel painting, tree trunks, and sound. Viewers are invited to reflect on migration and belonging while sitting on tree logs, contemplating a Ghaf tree hosting hidden birds and shadow creatures. The sound of bird singing and female humming encourages a connection with our spirituality and nature.
The Ghaf tree, symbolizing stability and sustainability, transforms from a simple representation into a complex surface of leaves and creatures. Birds, both native and migrant, serve as a connecting thread for human migration.
